Shanklin – The Art Deco House

The Art Deco House has plenty of style and living space. It’s the ideal location for a magnificent group get-together, with four reception rooms and six beautiful bedrooms sleeping up to nineteen people (fourteen adults and five youngsters). This magnificent property gives up its own slice of completely enchanting Art Deco heritage with a drawing room, dining room, sunroom (The cocktail lounge), and garden room.

It will take your breath away with beautiful interiors, a distinctive cliff top setting, and 3/4 of an acre of glorious formal gardens. The wonderful sunroom with stunning views from Culver Cliffs to Luccombe can be found upstairs. The picture-perfect landscapes are the perfect setting for a morning cup of tea or an aperitif before dinner.

With beautiful stained glass windows, parquet floors, and wide leather sofas, the drawing room is a large elegant place with all you need to unwind. From the walnut drink cabinet to the hidden card table – ideal for some post-dinner poker – the lavish attention to detail only adds to the attraction. A television, as well as a neatly camouflaged Alexa and Sonos sound system, round out the amenities.

The dining room, which seats up to eighteen people and has rich red walls, gorgeous wood panelling, and jaw-dropping chandeliers, is a wonderful huge occasion. It would be a shame not to take advantage of the private dining services available, which range from a celebratory cake and afternoon tea to a complete fine dining experience. You can also order magnums of champagnes that have been skillfully picked (chosen by the owner who is also, rather handily, a fine wine and champagne connoisseur).

There are three ovens and a large gas stove in the well-equipped kitchen. And with enough pots, pans, and crockery to prepare a banquet, you’ll never be short on anything. In fact, the more unexpected goods will delight you – with a breadmaker and even a popcorn machine, the proprietors have truly thought of everything.

The garden room is a light-filled, open place with views of the lovely garden. Pick up a book, kick your feet up, and relax for a while. Take a stroll through the garden to admire the well-kept grounds and stunning ponds. With a dining table that seats eighteen people, you’ll discover that any al-fresco requirements are also met in a spectacular manner.

With magnificent beds, rich bed linen, and fabulous original elements, each bedroom has its own unique wow factor. In the morning room, there is also more sleeping space. It’s set up as a games room, complete with board games, gaming space for teens, and a well-stocked DVD collection, and it’s a perfect place for younger guests to escape. However, if you do have a couple of extra people to sleep with, there are two nice full-size single daybeds available.

Shanklin, on the Isle of Wight, is a charming seaside village with a sandy beach that provides good swimming and sunbathing options.
Small hotels, cafes, and amusements such as crazy golf, arcades, an indoor children’s play area, and a fun fair along the seaside Esplanade.
The town is connected to the Esplanade by a cliff lift, and a road train runs between the beachfront, town centre, and the Old Village. A stroll down Shanklin’s High Street and Regent Street reveals a variety of cafes, restaurants, and independently owned stores, while a visit to the Old Village’s thatched cottages reveals a variety of tea houses and distinctive gift shops.
