Description

In our pleasant bar, mingle with the locals while choosing a meal from our daily blackboard specials, or take a seat in our freshly refurbished restaurant. We’re known for our wonderful, locally sourced seafood and shellfish, so pair it with a wine from our large wine list or a cold beer or real ale from our award-winning variety.

Enjoy your nights in front of our blazing log fire beside the bar, or in our luxurious newly rebuilt restaurant while savouring the delicacies of our seasonal menu. This contains a variety of ‘game’ specialties that change with the seasons.

We welcome walkers, dogs, muddy boots, and bicycles, so please feel free to come inside or relax in our lovely garden area, which now includes a wonderful gazebo!

The Highdown Inn is a short drive from Alum Bay and the famed Needles to the west, Freshwater Bay and the historic town of Freshwater to the east, and Colwell Bay and the spectacular views of Freshwater Bay to the north.

We are conveniently located on the coastal pathways and public footpaths from Freshwater Bay, Headon Warren, and Alum Bay, making us an ideal stop for walkers, ramblers, cyclists, and campers.
